It has been so fun having our own little family and starting our own traditions. Now that the kids are getting older we have really enjoyed getting to do some of the more "traditional" Christmas activities with them. Elliot and I both remember as kids going to Christmas Card Lane and the Plaza to look at the lights. To carry on that tradition we took the kids to Nature In Lights this weekend. I must give Blora a plug for the wonerful job they did this year and from what I understand they do every year. For miles and miles around Belton Lake there are amazing light displays that kept the kids in awe. We stopped at Santa's Village during the tour to hit Grandma's Cookie Shack for a little snack. It was a wonderful evening. Tonight we ventured out on a limb and made a gingerbread house. I think there was way more eating than there was decorating on Aiden's part. On more than one occasion he was caught two fisting the Sixlets. Madelyn did a wonderful job on her portion of course. She loves to do "projects" like this. The poor house did not last long though. Not 10 minutes after it was put on display the roof came tumbling off. Last I heard the Mr. and Mrs Gingerbread were contacting the contractor because it is still under warranty. On a side note the large swirly piles of white frosting in the front are not from the gingerbread dog (if you catch my drift). Those were suppose to be snow piles. Just to clarify for all of our blog followers.

Hi Guys! Somehow Phil found your blog and sent it to me. How are you? We're still in Utah; just bought a house. Oscar is 5, Lily 3, and Henry is 10 months. It's so fun to read your blog! Oscar says he doesn't recognize Madelyn though! Never thought that day would come!
