Hard to believe but our little Madelyn started first grade this year. Where on Earth has the time gone? There was some slight apprehension about starting the big first grade on Madelyn's part. She has heard from older friends all about getting a letter grade and report cards. A much different lifestyle than she was accustomed to in Kindergarten. This year her teacher's name is Mrs. Self. The perfect teacher for Madelyn. Bubbly personality, young, pretty, long blond hair and she even has a cd on sale in stores. Madelyn is in love. She has many of the same kids from her class last year in her class this year as all the kids from the talented and gifted class move up together. I love that. I think it makes the transition a bit easier. We are so excited to embark on this journey of letter grades and report cards with Madelyn. Her love for learning and oddly enough her love for homework makes me smile everyday.
